Welcome to the Tujia Language Project, a resource focused on Northern Tujia.

This website documents Northern Tujia through a searchable dictionary and a practical guide to its draft spelling system. Southern and unclassified source records are retained only for reference and are clearly labelled.

Dialect note. The draft spelling scheme is based on Northern Tujia, with Miaoshi in Longshan as its reference point. Southern source forms remain visible in IPA, and their converted spellings are marked as reference forms.
